International Post
International Post started its activity on 31st May 2000. Post of Kosova is providing consolidated international services day by day. Up to date achievements:
- Provision of different services such as delivery of all kinds of letters, light packages (that weigh up to 2 kg), parcels, promotion materials and special postbags “M”;
- Control (x-ray) of incoming and outgoing postal deliveries;
- Issue of an international code to the Post of Kosova since 2005;
- Collection of debt from the administration of other international posts (for the period between 2000 – 2005), pertaining to reciprocal business relations;
- Launch of delivery service of promotion materials and “Postbags - M”;
- Reception and conveyance of literature/stuff dedicated to the blind people and their associations, a service provided free of charge to the associations of blind people in Kosova that indicates a humanitarian act;
- Agreements with following international postal service providers:
- Agreement for an exchange of ground postal deliveries with Post of Albania and Post of Macedonia;
- Agreement for an exchange of international postal services with Post of Switzerland (Zurich);
- Agreement with TNT;
- Agreement for an exchange of daily postal deliveries in closed transit with Air Company “Austrian Airlines”, as a safe, fast and economically advantageous method;
- Memorandum of understanding with Albanian Post;
- Agreement with “Malësia Reisen” for conveyance of international deliveries to Zürich in Switzerland;
- Agreement for exchange of EMS services with Post of Albania and Post of Macedonia (to meet the terms for membership into the international EMS co-operative);
- There are ongoing talks about cooperation with DHL-Germany, etc.
It is expected that soon we will provide:
- Delivery of insured letters and packages, special and additional services;
- Functioning of hybrid post (after having built the postal transit centre), which will increase the business capacity of the Post of Kosova to a new additional industrial component that includes printing, conversion, and delivery of bills and other materials in a range of continual activities.
- Increase of revenues,
- Decrease of business expenditures,
- Increase promptly conveyance of deliveries,
- Enhance the security of deliveries,
- Gain the confidence of clients,
- Improve the image of the Post of Kosova throughout the world.
